Special Practice Responsibilities
Cam is a graduate from the University of Auckland School of Medicine. His postgraduate training includes a Master of Medical Science degree in Endocrinology in Auckland, and a six year fellowship in the areas of endocrinology and molecular biology at the University of Utah, where he gained a Ph.D. Cam joined Diagnostic Medlab in 1993, after completing his Australasian Pathology Fellowship (FRCPA). He is a member of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry and the American Endocrine Society. He holds appointments as a Visiting Specialist in Endocrinology at Auckland City Hospital and as an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Molecular Medicine at the University of Auckland. He is currently on the Laboratory Clinical Advisory Group for bpac (Best Practice Advocacy Center) and member of the Board of Directors of TELARC New Zealand. Cam continues to be involved in research and teaching with particular interests in endocrine physiology, lipids and diabetes.
