Special Practice Responsibilities
Dr. Recavarren was born in Lima, Peru where she finished her
medical training in 2002. By 2003 she was working as an intern at a
Peruvian Military Hospital and in 2004 joined the Navy Clinic-Rural
Service where she worked as a General Physician.
She was a Pathology Resident at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan
from 2005 to 2009 and during the last year of her training was also
one of the Pathology Chief's Residents. By 2010 she was awarded a
Surgical Pathology Fellowship at Mount Sinai.
Dr. Recavarren is Board Certified in Anatomical Pathology. Her
interests include Gastrointestinal and Breast Pathology.
