Special Practice Responsibilities
Jonathan studied medicine in Johannesburg, South Africa and trained
in Anatomical Pathology in Auckland, spending a year during
training at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School, Hammersmith
Hospital, London. After becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of
Pathologists of Australasia he gained a Ph.D at the University of
Auckland in experimental cancer therapy and became Tutor Specialist
at Auckland City Hospital. Jonathan was also a Senior Lecturer at
the University of Auckland. He has developed an interest in renal
pathology and urological pathology. Jonathan has more than 30
refereed publications including basic scientific papers on
experimental cancer therapy, the effects of magnetic radiation and
a method for visualising the renal arterial and glomerular network
in three dimensions.
