LabPLUS provides a publicly funded testing service for a group
of tests (se list below) when the referral is requested by an
endocrinologist or other specialist, or the referral is approved by
a LabPLUS Chemical Pathologist.
When a referral does not meet the referrer criteria or is not
approved, DML is able to collect samples and arrange testing at DML
or at Canterbury Health Laboratory (CHL).
Non-funded Vitamin D, DHEAS, Fasting Insulin and Homocysteine
tests are able to be collected, tested and resulted at DML.
As non-funded tests, the patient is responsible for payment at
the time of sample collection. The test charges, incl. GST,
are:
