Home Visit Specimen Collection
DML provides a home visit specimen collection service for patients who are confined to their home. The service is available to all residents of Ministry of Health certified Rest Homes and Geriatric hospitals and those patients referred by a private medical specialist who are deemed to be housebound.

Courier Pickups
In addition to our mobile phlebotomy team, DML operates an Auckland wide courier service, Medical Couriers. Our courier system has been fine tuned over many years to ensure our couriers meet routine specimen pick up times, as well as being available for urgent on demand requests.

Frozen Section Information
Frozen Sections require a booking, preferably made 24 hours ahead of time. Our Histology staff will be able to set this up for your clinic or hospital, please call 571 6435. There are special labelling, packaging and transport arrangements.
Non-Funded Tests
A number of tests collected by DML are not funded by the government. These include, but are not limited to, Rabies, Anti-Gliadin, Anti-Mullerian Hormone. Prices for these tests can be obtained by contacting our Helpline on (09) 571 6400
Training in Venepuncture and Specimen Collection
Training in the collection of blood specimens and other pthological specimens can be provided for staff working in health facilities or research intitutions. Contact our Training Supervisor, ph (09) 571 6403
